I am not sure if the following situation is actually becoming more frequent or I'm just witnessing more of it due to living longer. However, not a week goes by that I am not hearing about a long-term friendship or business relationship going to the left. Personal and professional affiliations where there was once trust lasting for years, now, ending abruptly and bitterly. I have personally experienced those situations and they are painful. The divorce rate continues to soar in spite of the love expressed and vows made.
